SWAGMAN PICKLEBALL MOD
Today, I literally came up with a pickleball variation that allows three/three people to play while playing down at Sunset park today! I am going to copyright it as Swagman Pickleball! Before you begin, the “3rd” person is chosen (usually the most capable at the net) and that person stays neutral in the middle.
Standard side-out scoring. The serving side has all three players start from the baseline. The receiving side has one receiver and the other two are forward. If the server wins the point, as with standard side out scoring, person one and 3 switch but number 3 stays in the middle. The receiving team is also like side-out scoring, but the third person shifts to the forward court based on which side is receiving the score.
There are multiple strategies where all three come forward and attack the net or the third person might stay back for the lobs or backup.
